Guidance and Counseling students are often self-regulated with personal aspect, use of social media, and peer relation. Motivation has something to do with the student's academic performance. Motivation of the students found significant on recitation/participation, project submission, attendance and result examination. Self-regulation of the students is found significant on personal aspect and peer relations but not found significant in the use of social media to the recitation/participation, project submission, and attendance and not found significant in peer relations to the result of examination. Therefore, it is recommended that students should have a clear goal, to be more motivated or have inner motivation to do well in school. Consequently, the Guidance and Counseling section must strength student-life enrichment program to enlighten their interest. Proper or responsible usage of social media must start at home and should be supplemented by the guidance activities in the school under Personality Development Program. Faculty members should be fully aware of the art questioning to aid student in their critical thinking. Office of Student Development Services thru Guidance and Counseling Section should inculcate good studying habits through forums, seminars, activities and attitude among students to become successful in their chosen field. And a parallel study should be conducted using IQ and EQ as variables and widen the coverage to verify the results.
