Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics .University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal 2018 Summary: The study aimed to investigate whether the performance task was appropriately implemented based on the given performance standards in Grade7 Mathematics Qualitative research was utilized to attain the goal of the study. The respondents of the study were the 10 Mathematics teachers from Montalban Heights National High School, Wawa National High School and Burgos National High School Based on the gathered data and analysis, the following findings were summarized Most of the respondents utilized the performance standard and task in teaching Grade 7 Mathematics through different strategies like cooperative learning and peer tutoring in implementing the task. In terms of instruments, most of them used rubrics to measure the performance task of the students. The common problems encountered by the Mathematics teachers in implementing the performance task were the limited time to finish the task and availability of learning materials To improve the teaching of Mathematics, most of the respondents suggested that Mathematics teachers must conduct seminars about k - 12 curriculum program to enhance the implementation of performance task. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: The teachers used cooperative learning and peer tutoring to utilize the performance task. The teachers used rubrics to measure the performance task of the students. The teachers agreed that lack of interest, availability of materials and large numbers of students inside the classroom and poor study habits of the students are common problems in implementing performance task. Teachers are not yet equipped in implementation of performance task. Conducting of seminars and programs about the performance task is recommended.
