The researchers used questionnaire-checklist as the main instrument in gathering data which was subjected to content validation by the experts in the field of guidance and counseling. This study was limited to students with problems and the remedial measures used by the guidance and counseling. To determine the profile of the respondents frequency, percentage, and rank distribution were used. To determine the level of effectiveness of the remedial measures implemented by the guidance counselors with respect to different aspects, mean was used and to determine the significant difference on the level of effectiveness of remedial measures implemented by the guidance with respect to different aspects in terms of the respondents profile, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used. After the construction of the research-made questionnaire checklist, it was presented to instructors for content validation. The questionnaire was administered by the researchers personally. The gathered data where tallied, analyzed and interpreted. Based from the findings of the study, it is therefore concluded that there are more female guidance counselors who are 35 years old and above are married who receive a monthly salary of 26,000-25,000 and are 4-6 years in their respective positions while there are more male students who are 14-15 years old from grade 9 with married parents. Counseling is much effective as remedial measure to the academic problems of the students. The profile of the respondents are not contributory to the effectiveness of remedial measures used by the guidance counselors to the students with problems. Based on the summary of findings and conclusions, the researchers draw the following recommendations that guidance counselors are encouraged to continue the use of different remedial measures in assisting the students with problems. The school may conduct lecture-forum on how to cope different problems encountered by the students. Parallel study may be conducted considering other variables.
