Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the level of self-esteem motivation and self-control of homosexual students in University of Rizal System, Morong. The study was conducted during SY 2015-2016. The study is focused on the homosexual students of University of Rizal System, Morong wherein the respondents were purposively chosen. The subject of the study were first year to fourth year from different colleges with such profile as age, sex, year level, course, religion, number of siblings in the family, sibling position, parental status, and socio-economic status which served as the profile of the respondents. This study made use of questionnaire0checklist as the main tool in gathering information necessary in the conduct of the study. To find the significant difference on the level of self-esteem, motivation and self-control with respect to different aspects in terms of their profile one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used. To find the significant relationships that exists between the self-esteem, with respect to the different aspects, motivation with respect to the different aspects and self-control of the homosexual students with respect to different aspects. Pearson-r was applied. The result reveals that most of the respondents belong to the age bracket of 18-20, put of 55 respondents 41 are male and 14 female homosexuals. In terms of year 17 of them belong to the second year level, 15 each belong to different colleges. In terms of number of siblings in the family 32 of them are on the bracket of 1-3 numbers of siblings, 37 out of 55 respondents are in the parental status of married with 16 of them belong to the socio-economic status of 5,000 - below. On the other hand, on the level of self-esteem of homosexual students with respect to different aspects the self-regard obtained highest mean with the verbal interpretation of high. On the level of motivation with respect to different aspects the personal aspect obtained high mean with the verbal interpretation of high. On the level of motivation with respect to different aspects the personal aspects obtained high mean with the verbal interpretation of very high. And on the level of self-control with respect to different aspects the behavioral aspect obtained the highest mean with verbal interpretation of high. Based from the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn and formulated. Homosexual students from first year to fourth year enrolled from different colleges, attained a high level of self-esteem and motivation and got a moderate level on their self-control. This found that there are significant relationship between the self-esteem, motivation and the self-control of the homosexual students with respect to given aspects in terms of age, year level, course and number of siblings in the family and with no significant relationship in terms of sex, parental status and socio-economic status. Based on the findings and conclusions derived the following recommendations are hereby offered. University key officials, faculty and non-teaching personnel must support and help address the needs and concerns of the homosexual students. The Gender and Development (GAD) must strengthen the implementation of programs, projects and activities for the homosexual students. There should be a creation of an organization or group for the homosexual students for them to discuss or to share their feelings and personal life within the group. Promotion of equality among male, female and homosexual students must be enhanced and sustained
