Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled Acceptance of the Students on the Course Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling was conducted during the school year 2015-2016. It determines the acceptance of the students in this course. The respondents were the selected students from first year to third year college students composed of one-hundred (100) respondents enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling in the College of Science University of Rizal System Morong, Rizal. The study revealed the profile of the respondent in terms of age, sex, year level, monthly income and educational attainment of parents were considered variables in the study as well as the different aspects such as self, peer and family. The study used the survey method of research utilizing a researcher's made questionnaire checklist as the main instrument for gathering data. The researcher-made questionnaire checklist was submitted to the experts in the field of Guidance and Counseling and other colleges for validation. The study used the frequency, percentage and rank distribution, weighted mean and one analysis of variance or ANOVA, the statistical tools in line with the study. The collected were treated; interpreted and summarized the presentation and comprehensive findings of the study were also done. Based on the summary of findings, the study came up with the conclusions that the respondents have different reasons why they took Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling. Further, students agree that self, peer and family aspects sometimes affect their acceptance of the students on the course bachelor of science in guidance and counseling in sex, age, year level, monthly family income and educational attainment of parents do not affect the acceptance students on the course bachelor of science in guidance and counseling. Based on the findings and conclusions, the study recommends that the student shall be encouraged to attend in the educational forum and program regarding career choice and its importance. Require the students to attend in programs organized by teachers and guidance and counselor that will give the students opportunity that may expose them to different course to give them job after they graduated in the course. Further studies are recommended using other variables.
