Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled APPLICATION OF EXPONENTIAL AND LOGARITHMIC FUNCTIONS ON EARTHQUAKE MAGNITUDE AND INTENSITY was conducted during the academic year 2017-2018 at URS Morong, Rizal. The researchers used the qualitative research design, because this method explains, apply and interprets the study to become more precise. During the conduct of the study, the researchers gathered the needed data about earthquakes that happened in several places in the Philippines. The analysis was made by the researchers with the help of municipal workers in Tanay, Rizal. Using the Richter Scale model as a reference maybe considered as an application of the exponential and logarithmic function. Using the reference. Using the Richter Scale model as a reference maybe considered as an application of the exponential and logarithmic function. Using the reference, proved that the model is fitted on getting the earthquake's magnitude and intensity. The researchers recommended that Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS) personnel may consider application of exponential and logarithmic function in computing earthquake's magnitude and intensity.
