Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study is entitled "Stress, Academic Performance and Life Satisfaction of Smartphone Users". The researchers conducted the study with the purpose of determining the relationship of stress, academic performance and life satisfaction to smartphone usage, there were 100 selected respondents within the University of Rizal System, Morong, Rizal This study utilized the descriptive quantitative research design and used the questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering data is was modified by the respondents to ensure the necessary data. The statistical treatments that were applied are mean and Pearson-R Correlation. Based from findings, the level of smartphone usage and stress are "Average" while the level of academic performance and life satisfaction are "High". Therefore, it is hereby formulated that smartphone users are satisfied with their life and have a good academic performance but because the are exposed to it, they are more prone to stress. On the basis of the findings and conclusions enumerated, the following recommendations are hereby offered; the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) may proactively and continually create a responsive regulatory environment for a viable, affordable, reliable and accessible telecommunications and information infrastructure and services to ensure the welfare and protection to the people. The information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO), under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is responsible for information dissemination and support the speedy enforcement of rules and delivery of accessible public services to the people. Office of students development services may conduct programs and activities on the proper utilization of smartphones and social networking sites.
