Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technologymajor in Civil Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This research study aimed to develop a Permeable Pavement as an alternative environmental-friendly paving material. Specifically, this study attempted to design and conduct experiment on permeable pavement, perform experiment through try-out and revision and evaluate the acceptability in terms of economic value, environmental aspect and workability and applicability. Moreover, this study also investigated the significant difference on the level of performance between the developed permeable pavement and the ordinary concrete pavement in terms of the mentioned criteria on the evaluations made by the group of respondents that was conducted at University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during A.Y. 2017-2018. The respondents of the project consisted of two (2) groups. They were the Civil Technology students and experts in the field. They were evaluated by the twenty (20) Civil Technology students and ten (10) CIT Professors. Based from the summary of findings, the study found that the Developed Permeable Pavement as a whole achieve its acceptability in economic value, environmental aspect and workability and applicability. And it was verbally interpreted as Much Accepted. Therefore, it is concluded that there is significant difference between the Developed Permeable Pavement and Ordinary Concrete Pavement in terms of economic value, environmental aspect and workability and applicability on the evaluation made by the group of respondents. The level of performance of the Developed Permeable Pavement and Ordinary Concrete Pavement in terms of compression test, permeability test and impact test. In compression test, the Developed Permeable Pavement obtained a mean of 2, verbally interpreted as "Slightly Strong Compression", while ordinary concrete pavement obtained a mean of 4.67 which is verbally interpreted as "very strong compression". In permeable test, the researchers observed that the Developed Permeable Pavement obtained a mean of 3.8, verbally interpreted as "Permeable Pavement", while the Ordinary Concrete Pavement obtained a mean of 1 verbally interpreted as "Not Permeable Pavement". In impact test, the Developed Permeable Pavement obtained a mean of 4.73 which is verbally interpreted as "Partial Tendency to Break", while Ordinary Concrete Pavement obtained a mean of 5, verbally interpreted as "No Tendency to Break". The researchers found out that the existing ordinary pavement is better than the developed permeable pavement in terms of impact test. And based on the results of findings and conclusion, the following recommendations were given: it is recommended to conduct further study on possible binding materials to get the highest effective result of the product. There should be deeper studies on mixing proportion of the permeable pavement to obtain its maximum limitation. Pulverizing machine for the rice hulls should be designed and developed for faster production. Follow up studies should be undertaken in order to attain maximum efficiency of the product.
