Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Content Courses) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted to determine the performance in the Licensure Examination for Teachers of the CPE students of the University of Rizal System Morong Campus. This study used a researcher's made questionnaire-checklist to gather information and data among the respondents, which were content validated to determine the performance of the CPE students in the Licensure Examination for Teachers. The data gathered were treated with the use of mean, percentage distribution and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to determine the significant relationship on the level of performance of the respondents in the Licensure Examination for Teachers with the different aspects in their profile. The subjects of the study were 96 CPE students of University of Rizal System Morong Campus who took the Licensure Examination for Teachers but due to change of residency and workplace only 59 responded. The findings and the analysis of data derived on the process of the study showed that majority of the respondents were at age 20-25 made up of 26 out of 59 respondents while in the course taken, most of them took Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and were graduates of school year 2012-2013. The performance of the respondents in all subject components of the Licensure Examination for Teachers were poor which indicates that most of the respondents failed the examination. There is no significant difference on the performance of the CPE students in the Licensure Examination for Teachers in terms of Age, Course Taken and Year Graduated in the Bachelor's Degree. The obtained P-values in all aspects did not exceed 0.05 level of significance which proves that there exists no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and their performance in the Licensure Examination for Teachers. From the analysis of data, the following conclusions were formulated: CPE students did not achieve the required average to pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Thus, the performance of the CPE Students in the examination is one of the factors that contribute to the low passing rate of the University in the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and the competencies acquired by the CPE students in the Continuing Professional Educational Program of the University do not fit with the required competencies in the subject components that were included in the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Based from the analysis of findings and conclusions drawn, the following are sets of recommendations: First, the College must require an admission policy on the CPE program to screen students who will enroll in the program, next the College must review the curriculum content of the CPE program for enrichment, third, the College must develop and validate an achievement test that would evaluate the acquired competencies of the CPE Students after accomplishing the program and lastly, to conduct a parallel study on the performance in the Licensure Examination for Teachers of the CPE students on a broader scope.
