Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The main objective of the study is to determine the perception of employees on career development stages of Local Government Unit (LGU) workers in the Municipality of Antipolo and Binangonan with respect to age, number of years in service, position and their current job in the career development stages in terms of establishment stage, maintenance stage and decline stage. The study was conducted during the school year 2016-2017. Purposive sampling method was used for one hundred forty (140) respondetns. It made use of quantitative descriptive method of research design with researcher-made instrument as the major instrument for gathering data and f-test as the statistical treatment tool was used. the collected data were treated, interpreted and summarized. Based on findings, conclusion from the study were drawn that the employees perceived themselves to be on the establishment stage regardless of their age, number of years in service and position. Only the workers themselves can make a verdict on where they see themselves on the career development stages. They see themselves to be on the establishment stage because they are motivated to attend to their works and they put value to it, because they have acquired a secured position in the institution. They have continued what was done in the previous stage and disregard the idea of declining. From the finding and conclusion drawn, it is recommended that the Human Resources Management may implement activities such as seminars that will clarify employee's golas of what career they really want to pursue. Checklists may be used to help to make an employee organized on how they are going to reach their goals, as well as training that will help them in reaching their desired career. The government may continually implement the career development program for the benefits of their employees and a parallel study may be conducted in different sectors of the government.
