Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to examine the Science and Mathematics Performance of Grade 3 Pupils using Mother-Tongue-Based Instructions. The study was conducted at Timoteo A. Reyes Sr. Elementary School. Specifically, it aimed to show the level of performance of the Grade 3 pupils in Science and Mathematics when exposed to Mother Tongue-Based Instruction by utilizing the score in their periodical test. A quota random sampling technique was used in order to select the respondents. The respondents were Grade Three with a total number of forty-one (41). The descriptive and documentary method of research design was used to gather the needed data. To find out the level of performance of the Grade 3 pupils in Science and Mathematics with the use of the result of their periodical test results, mean and standard deviation were used. To find out if there is a significant difference in the level of performance of the Grade 3 pupils in Science and Mathematics with the use of the results of their periodical test results, One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used. The mean and verbal interpretation of performance of the Grade 3 pupils using Mother Tongue-Based Instruction, with respect to the level of performance of the Grade 3 in Science and Mathematics, the overall weighted mean obtained are, 80.38 and 80.43 respectively and all are verbally interpreted as "Satisfactory". Moreover, there was a significant difference found in the evaluation of the performance of the respondents based on their periodical test results in terms of Mathematics. However, no significant difference has found in the periodical test results in terms of science. Based from the findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended to adopt the Mother-Tongue-Based Instruction to make learners learn better and easily, and provide a positive effect towards the performance of the pupils.
