Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled 21st Century Skills Assessment among students of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Biological Sciences using descriptive-survey method of research which involved the use of assessment checklist to assess and descrive the 21st Century skills of biological sciences. This study found out that Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Biological Sciences students have already skills developed in them that leads them to a proficient level ins the scale used with respect to Digital-Age Literacy, Inventive Thinking, Effective Communication, and High Productivity. Fifty students were assessed to include twenty six (26) second year and twenty four (24) third year students in the academic year 2016-2017. Two to three days allowed for the respondents to accomplish the checklist after explaining the items on the digital-age literacy, inventive thinking, effective communication and high productivity. Findings revealed self-assessed the students and made them aware of the results of the analysis. More importantly, the deficiencies in skills were addressed early on before their off-campus or student teaching practive on their fourth year while there is still time to upgrade and plan for training. Recommendations include a Conduct a more adept assessment of skills to faculty and students that allow monitoring of multiple level of mastery on the digital-age literacy, inventive thinking, effective communication and high productivity. Another is to provide student the opportunity for training and mastering the 21st Century skills to effectively prepare them to the challenges of teaching in the sciences. And to consider training of faculty in the Teacher education Program considering training of faculty in the Teacher Education Program considering the Technology, Content, Pedagogoy, and Knowledge (TCPK) framework.
