Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electro-Mechanical Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop a refilling tub for refrigerant tank. Specifically it attempted to design and construct a device out of locally available materials: performed try-out and revision of the project: determined the acceptability in terms of usefulness, functionality, and safety and maintenance. Moreover it also determines the significant difference of the evaluation made by the experts and end-users in terms of the above mentioned criteria: and develop a user's manual for the sequential operation of the device. This research project was focused on the development of refilling tub refrigerant tank. This was conducted at the University Of Rizal System Of Morong Campus by the students of Bachelor Technology major in electromechanical school year 2015-2016. It was limited to the design, construction, testing and revision. This study utilized the developmental and descriptive methods of research since this is a purposive study designing and constructing refilling tub for refrigerant tank which considers electricity as its source. Validated research made checklist was used to determine the acceptability of the refilling tub for refrigerant tank, experts in electromechanical and other instructions involved to validate the instructional device. On the designing and construction of device, the project reached the functional stage. The different parts were constructed following the construction procedure and the working drawing. On try-out and revision the device was tested for operations were different weaknesses were manifested. Through try-out and revision the project attained the project objectives. On the acceptability of the completed output of refilling tub for refrigerant tank verbally interpreted as 'very useful' respectively in terms of usefulness. In terms of functionality the device merited a verbal interpretation of 'excellent'. In terms of safety and maintenance the refilling tub for refrigerant tank obtained a verbal interpretation of 'extremely safe'. On the performance of the refilling tub in terms of time consumed in transferring refrigerant the device was tested for operation and some limitation were occurred. In terms of the performance of the device of time duration with the refilling tub it got a result of very much fast in transferring refrigerant', and without using the refilling tub it was find as 'very slow in transferring refrigerant'. On the significant differences between the evaluation made by the respondents the level of significance in terms of usefulness got a computes t-value less than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted not significant. Moreover, in terms of functionality the level of significance got a computed t-value less than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted not significant. Furthermore, in terms of performance in refilling time a level of significance got a computed t-value greeter than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is rejected and verbally interpreted as significant. The user's manual was developed with different content such as the introduction, operation guidelines, safety precaution, trouble shooting, and technical specification. The hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference between the evaluation made by the experts and end users in terms of usefulness, functionality, and safety and maintenance. Based on the foregoing findings and conclusions the researchers recommended that assistance should be given to students undergoing similar research or study to defray the high cost of materials needed. In addition the device should be improved to increase its performance and efficiency. Follow up should be maybe conducted to further enhance and improve the project. Training institution must encourage the students to design and construct device to help experts and end users. Feasibility study for possible mass production should be made.
