Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electronics Technology) -- University of Rizal. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a Piezoelectric Generator as an Alternative Source of Energy to produce renewable energy for the people who live in the suburbs, for them to easily generate electricity. It was conducted at University of Rizal System Morong Campus during S.Y 2016-2017. In conducting this study, the researchers utilized the developmental and descriptive type of research since this study focused on designing and constructing a developed Piezoelectric Generator as an Alternative Source of Energy. This study determined the significant difference on the evaluation made by the technology experts and end users on the developed Piezoelectric Generator as an Alternative Source of Energy in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and usefulness of the project. There were fifteen (15) respondents; five (5) electronics experts and ten (10) students as end users. The researchers utilized as questionnaire checklist and adapted modified determine the acceptability of the developed device. Based on the findings it showed that both respondents extremely accepted the Piezoelectric Generator as an Alternative Source of Energy in terms of functionality and safety and maintenance therefore the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference on the evaluation. On the other hand, usefulness and user-friendliness are rejected therefore; the null hypothesis which states that there is significant difference on the evaluation is not accepted. As such, the experts recommended to improve the performance and appearance of the gadget. Based on the formulated findings and conclusion, the following recommendations were offered. Additional piezo transducer should be used to filter ac to become dc, other research should be conducted further to improve the device, improve the design for better performance and effectiveness and last further study should be conducted for the improvement of the study in the near future to improve function of the device.
