Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electronics Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology. Specifically, this study attempted to design and construct the Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology. The researcher perform try out and revisions to know what to change of the device. Moreover, the study aimed to determine the level of acceptability of the Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology in terms of usefulness, functionality and safety and maintenance. As a result, the study determined the significant difference on the acceptability of the Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology based on the evaluation made by the two groups of respondents in terms of the above cited variables. The study also determined the level of performance of the developed device in terms of time response and distance. And lastly, the study aimed to develop manual intended for the system project. The researchers performed try-out and revisions to make the device function very well. Some wiring have been rearranged and reprogrammed the system. This study determined the level of acceptability of Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology in terms of usefulness. Functionality and safety and maintenance by the used of researchers made questionnaire. There were (2) two groups of respondents who tested the level of acceptability of this project. The first group was composed of (5) five experts who have knowledge, skills, and understanding on Electronics Operation. The other group was composed of 10 (ten) end-users. The results were tallied and computed for analysis. As the result of the study, based on the perception of the experts on the acceptability of the Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology, the usefulness of the device got the weighted mean of 4.52, which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Useful (EU). In terms of functionality, the AAUWT got the weighted mean of 4.32 which was verbally interpreted as Very Much Functional (VMF). And for the safety and maintenance, it got the weighted mean of 4.32 that was verbally interpreted as extremely safe and easy to maintain (ESEM). In general, Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology got an average weighted mean of 4.38, which was verbally interpreted as Very Much Acceptable (VMA) as evaluated by the expert. Likewise, based on the perception of the end-users, in terms of usefulness got the weighted mean of 4.84 which verbally interpreted Extremely Useful (EU). In terms of functionality, it got the weighted mean if 4.88, which is verbally interpreted as extremely Safe and Easy to Maintain. As a whole, the Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology was designed and constructed out of available materials. The project was highly accepted as evaluated by the respondents. The computed T-value in terms of usefulness, functionality and safety and maintenance shows that there was no significant difference on the acceptability evaluation made by the two groups of respondents. This study aimed to determine the level of performance of Appliance Automation Utilizing Wireless Technology in terms of the parameters which were time response and distance for the Bluetooth and GSM. The study aimed to develop user's manual intended for the system project. It served as the guide for the user.
