The study is focused on The Status of Fish in Pens in the Municipality of Cardona, Rizal. To determine The Status of Fish in Pens in the Municipality of Cardona, Rizal, 25 respondents were interviewed and questionnaire/checklist distributed. Percentage, Frequency and Ranking procedure were used to determine the status of fish production in pens in terms of years of operation, area of fish pen, stocking density, types of feeds, frequency of feeding per day, months of rearing, average tons per area and problem encountered by fish pen operator. The research utilized descriptive method to find out the status of fish production in pens in the Municipal of Cardona. The result of fish production in terms of years of operation majority of the fish pen operates between 3 to 6 years and few operate 9-10 years. In terms of area of fish pen majority of fish pen having an area of 46-50 ha the second is having an area of 1-5 ha. In terms of stocking density, majority of fish pen are having a stocking density of 21-30 thousand per hectare. In terms of type of feeds majority hugpo feeds than feedmix and apa and bread. In terms of frequency of feeding majority of fish pen operators fed their fish twice a day and few are fed once a day. In terms of months rearing,majority of fishpen harvest their first once year and above. In terms of average tons per area 51-55 ha have higher average cropping of 49.5 tons than others. In terms of problems encountered, majority of fish pen operator have a problem in water condition. Based on the data gathered production in Municipality of Cardona, Rizal, during calendar year 2003 is low because of long culturing period due to poor the quality. Fish production is also dependent on the area of fish pen.
