Dissertation note: Thesis BSF University of Rizal System. Cardona 2016 Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the growth performance of giant fresh water prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) fed with different plant oil source. The experimental treatment evaluated were; Treatment I Fishmeal+Rice bran, Treatment II Fishmeal+Rice bran +Coconut oil, Treatment III Fishmeal+Rice bran+Palm Oil and Treatment IV Fishmean+Rice brab+Canola Oil. The study was conducted for duration of 90 days. The experimental species were randomly assigned to four treatments laid out in a completely randomized design (CDR). Result showed that Treatment II obtained the highest weight gain of 2.14 g followed by Treatment III with weight gain of 2.12 g. Treatment IV had obtained weight gain of 2.04 g, and treatment I obtained the lowest weight gain of 1.99 g. Analysis of variance revealed there is no significant difference in weight gain among treatments. Highest length gain was attained by Treatment III with the value of 7.84 mm. Treatment IV obtained a length gain of 7.61 mm. followed by treatment I obtained a length gain of 7.67 mm and treatment II obtained the lowest length gain of 7.47 mm. Analysis of variance revealed there is no significant difference in weight gained among treatments. The highest survival rate was recorded in Treatment IV with 86.11% with canola oil. Treatment III fed with palm oil got survival rate of 81.48%. treatment II fed with coconut oil rank third with a survival rate of 75.93% and treatment I fed with oil respectively ranks last with survival rates of 72.22%. Analysis of variance revealed there is no significant difference in survival among treatments.
