Experimental Research Methodology
Thesis BSF University of Rizal System. Cardona 2016
The study aimed to evaluate the growth performance of locally grown seaweed propagules are different farming areas. The experimental study used two-group design, treatment evaluated was: Treatment I planted at Real, Quezon and treatment II planted at Infanta, Quezon. The study was conducted for a duration of 45 days. Results shows that locally grown seaweed propagules in Treatment II in Infanta, Quezon obtained the highest weight gain of 1,224.33 g. While seaweed propagules in Treatment I in Real, Quezon obtained the weight gain of 372.43 g. The computed t-value of 3.43 and 4.30 is less than the tabular t-value of 5.841. Result shows that the null hypothesis is accepted and that two treatments have no significant effect on the growth performance of locally grown seaweed propagules in different areas on the growth performance of locally grown seaweed propagules in different areas in terms of weight gain during 45-days culture periods. The computed t-value of the mean weight gain of locally grown seaweed propagules 265.39 which is greater than the tabular value of 3.707. Result shows that the null hypothesis stating that there is significant difference on the growth performance of locally grown seaweed propagules in different areas in all treatments after 45-days culture period is rejected.
