This study primarily aimed to determine the work commitment of part-time instructors in the College of Business of the University of Rizal System for the Academic Year 2015-2016. It particularly deals with respondents' profile in terms of campus, age, sex, civil status, average monthly income in URS, extra sources of income, other monthly income, highest educational attainment, length of service and their perception on the affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. The researchers personally distributed the questionnaire-checklist to the part-time instructors to gather their perception regarding this study. The researchers used descriptive research method appropriate for collecting and gathering data. The main instrument used was a questioner checklist. Also, statistical treatment such as frequency, percentage, rank distribution, weighted mean and one-way analysis of variance was used. The summary of findings shows that many of the respondents were from Antipolo campus and belonged to young adult (36 - 45 Years old), a great majority of them were male and married, most of the respondents earned P8,501. Most of the respondents did not specify their extra sources of income and other monthly income. Many of them has Masteral units, a great majority of them were at the University for almost one to four Years. In terms of affective commitment, the weighted mean was 4.44 and verbally interpreted as "Strongly Agree". In terms of normative commitment, the weighted mean was 4.11 and interpreted as "Agree". Then, the normative commitment has acquired a weighted mean of 3.83 interpreted as "Agree". By then, most of the part timers "Agree" that they are committed to the university, for its compositions it registered a grand weighted mean of 4.13. In general, the findings of the study show that there was no significant difference in the respondents' perception of the work commitment of part-time instructors with respect to their personal profile. Based on the summary of the findings and conclusions, the researchers recommend that the University may implement some kind of activities like team building for the part-time instructors to be more attached to URS, and so with the people around him. The University may give seminars specifically to the Part-time instructors regarding personal enhancement and interpersonal relations with co-workers alike. They should also motivate those Part time Instructors to keep them on high gear by meeting their needs by providing good incentives especially if their performances are commendable. The future researchers may conduct another study on work commitment using other variables and procedures.
