The study was conducted at university of rizal system morong, rizal specifically at the biology laboratory located at the third floor of college of science building during the school year 2017-2018, while atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) test was done at the university of the Philippines, los baños, laguna specifically at biotech. The study made use of descriptive research design to determine the amount of cadmium and lead which could be possibly present in paragis. The actual experimentation includes: planting, collecting of paragis as well as the soil sample, air drying of paragis, ashing and testing were also done. The prepared soil and plant samples were brought at the UP, Los baños for testing, through atomic absorption spectrophotometry analyzer to test the presence of cadmium and lead in paragis. The result revealed that soil sample (antipolo, city) 1 contained 0.59ppm cadmium and 3.38ppm lead, while soil sample (morong, rizal) 2 has 0.73ppm of cadmium and 12.16ppm of lead. Moreover, plant sample 1 (antipolo, city) obtained 0.52ppm of cadmium and 5.3ppm of lead. Plant sample 2 (morong, rizal) contained 1.44ppm of cadmium and 19.69ppm of lead. Therefore the study that concluded that the cadmium level both in plant soil samples passed the united stated environmental protection agency (usepa) standard but failed the food and drug administration (fda) standard. With respect to the lead level, plant sample 1 (cultivated) and plant sample 2 (wild) failed the usepa and fda standard. However, soil sample 1 (cultivated and soil sample 2 (wild) both passed the usepa and fda standard ER -
