The respondents of the study were the selected students with intellectual disability in the morning session at Maybancal SpEd Center, Morong Rizal. This study exploited the experimental research design which utilized the pretest and posttest scores that aimed to determine the effectiveness of the developed computer- aided instructional materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of the developed computer- aided instructional materials. The developed computer-aided instructional materials in teaching Filipino Alphabet with respect to vowels for children with intellectual disability was found as highly effective after exposure of the developed computer- aided instructional materials in most learning areas. Moreover, there was a significant difference on the level of effectiveness on the performance of the children before and after the exposure to the developed computer- aided instructional materials. The researchers found out that children with intellectual disability are audio- visual learners that they learn effectively through the use of audio- visual materials such as computer-aided instructional materials that can improve their academic performance. The researchers recommended that computer- aided instructional materials should be used by special educators to facilitate teaching learning process in children with intellectual disability. The developed computer-aided instructional material maybe subjected for revisions and modifications depending upon the needs of the learners or their learning styles. Moreover, encourage other SpEd teachers to use computer- aided instructional materials to enhance instruction in the different exceptionality. Development of computer- aided instructional materials in other subjects/lessons was suggested to make teaching and learning situation more effective and productive especially to those children with special needs. And lastly, training program on computer-aided instructional materials should be conducted for delivery of quality education ER -
