EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Old Catholic churches are symbols of our spiritual commitment serves as a cultural heritage for the people. Through the years, churches in the Province of Rizal faced a high risk of damage or permanent destruction because of its vulnerability and the environmental hazard surrounding it. With this issue, it is a problem to know if these churches are still able to withstand if ground shaking occurs. A developed methodology has been formulated by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to identify, inventory and rank building that are potentially seismically hazardous, the Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) Procedure. It involves a detailed visual examination of the structural and the non-structural components of the exterior and interior part of the churches. The researchers, who have undergone the seminar, "Training-Workshop on Infrastructure Audit", conducted by the Department of Interior and Local Government in cooperation with Department of Science and Technology, assessed the churches and filled out the RVS and LIAF form. Through the tabulated result, the researchers analyzed and compared the churches' stability in case of earthquakes. Having analyzed the results, the researchers formulated recommendations on how to strengthen the churches and make them more resistant to earthquake. Province of Rizal has 13 of these Catholic churches. It was concluded that despite the rehabilitation done on some of them, due to their age and the form of construction in parts not rehabilitated yet, the churches are still prone to severe damage if the Valley Fault System Shifted. From the assessment of the present condition of the church, we were able to give some recommendations.
