EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a self-powered electric fan with built-in generator, specifically, its attempted to design and construct the Self-Powered Electric Fan with Built-in Generator, perform try-out and revisions; determine the level acceptability of the Self-Powered Electric Fan with Built-in Generator, in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and durability; determine the significant difference on the evaluated made by the two groups of the respondents in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and durability. There were fifty (50) respondents, forty (40) Bachelor of Technology students as end users and ten (10) professors in Electrical Technology as experts, they evaluated the study in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and durability. The study tested the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the perception of the respondents on the acceptability of the Self-Powered Electric Fan with Built-in Generator, as evaluated in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and durability. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, weighted mean, and t-test. The Self-Powered Electric Fan with Built-in Generator was tested for operation where troubles were observed and revised. Through try-out and revisions made, the project reached the functional output and attained the project objective. The summary of findings in this study concluded that the self-powered electric fan with built-in generator was constructed out of locally available materials; the self-powered electric fan attained its function based on the project design; On the acceptability for self-powered electric fan with built-in generator as perceived by the end users and experts; In terms of design, as evaluated by the experts and end users, obtain means of 4.62 and 4.6, respectively and both have verbal interpretation of "Extremely Accepted". In terms of functionality, as evaluated by the experts and end users, obtain means of 4.64 and 4.66, respectively and both have verbal interpretation of "Extremely Accepted". In terms of safety and maintenance, as evaluated by the experts and end users, obtain means of 4.64 and 4.73, respectively and both have verbal interpretation of "Extremely Accepted". In terms of durability, as evaluated by the experts and end users, obtain mean of 4.70 and 4.86, respectively and both have verbal interpretation of "Extremely Accepted". On the significant difference on the level of acceptability of the self-powered electric fan with built-in generator as perceived by the experts and end uses, in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and durability, the computed t-value are less than the tabulate t-value of 2.009 with 48 degrees of freedom at 0.05 level of significance, thus there is no significance on the perception of the two groups of respondents, therefore the researchers failed to reject the null hypothesis. Based on the results and conclusions made in the study, the researchers arrived at the following recommendations; a device should have an indicator to monitor if the battery is fully charge; the switches should have a label; User's manual must develop to guide the user. Then should be speed indicator to measure the speed of rotation of the cranking; further research must be conducted to improve the capability of the device.
