EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This entitled development and validation of lyric poem priming material for junior high school science class was conducted during school year 2016-2017 at the university of rizal system morong, rizal. The descriptive research explored the development of science-based lyric poem for priming in science class which could create link between music and science. The lyrics were composed based on topics in earth and environmental science, biology and physics which were referred from the content standard in grade 7 to grade 10 in the junior high school. This contextualized the priming strategy for the millennial learners. Topics on types of rocks, scientific method, light rays, microscope, laws of motion, dawn of science, sound waves, waves, and photosynthesis were the focus of the compositions made which were developed to accompany musical notes for priming. Results of assessment revealed that both groups of respondents rated the lyric poem priming material as "acceptable" and was recommended for use in the junior high school science class. Essential question after each lyric poem was also recommended to serve as guide to link the poem to a specific lesson after priming in science.
