EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop and construct an Improvised Voice Activated Light Switch which can be used in residential and commercial establishment. Specifically, it aimed to perform try-out and revision, evaluate the acceptability of the project in terms of usefulness, safety and maintenance, design, functionality, and test the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users. The researchers utilized the research instrument or evaluation sheet to determine the Acceptability of Improvised Voice Activated Light Switch. The experts in the Electrical/Electronic Technology of Industrial Technology validated the research instrument. The respondents were thirty provided pertinent information crucial to the completion of this study. The results were tallied and computed for the acceptability of the project. The first groups were ten (10) experts who have knowledge, skills and understanding on electrical and electronics operations, the other twenty (20) were the end-users who would possibly use the said device. The statistical treatments were the mean and the independent t-test. The t-test was used to test if there is any significant difference on the perception of the experts and end-users. In general, the acceptability of the project as evaluated by the experts and end-users obtained a verbal interpretation of Extremely Accepted with a general average weighted mean of 4.6. The Improvised Voice Activated Light Switch was designed and constructed out of locally available materials. The project was Extremely Accepted as evaluated by the respondents. The computed t-value in terms of design, functionality, usability, safety and maintenance showed that there is significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users.
