TI - Performance of the bachelor of elementary education in the licensure examination for teachers 2014-2016 input to project rise AV - LB 1765 .P41 2017 PY - 2017/// KW - Academic achievement N2 - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted with the aim of determining the level of performance of BEEd graduates in the Licensure Examination for Teachers from 2014 to 2016: Input to Project RISE at the University of Rizal System Morong during the School Year 2016-2017. The subject of the study was the BEEd graduates from the year 2014-2016 who took the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). In determining the level of performance of the first takers, repeaters and overall percentage of BEEd graduates in the Licensure Examination for Teachers, the recorded ratings were used. The variables included were General Education and Professional Education. To determine the level of the first takers, repeaters, and overall percentage of BEEd graduates in the Licensure Examination for Teachers, in terms of General Education and Professional Education, mean and standard deviation were used. It was found out that the level of percentage of first takers of the BEEd graduates in the LET did not perform well. This maybe because the BEEd graduates did not learn better in General Education and Professional Education subjects or the curriculum does not correlate with each other and that was reflected on their General Education and Professional Education exam in the LET. It also revealed that the level of performance of the repeaters of BEEd graduates in the LET was affected by the increasing numbers of the repeaters. This may be because the repeaters still take the LET even without engaging themselves in any refresher course considering that they graduated under the different curriculum that will give them low percentage of chances in passing the said examination. Findings showed that the level of performance of the BEEd graduates in the Licensure Examination for Teachers from 2014 to 2016 is affected by the repeaters performance. This maybe because the number of the repeaters who failed in the Licensure Examination for Teachers are more than the number of first takers. Based on the following findings and conclusion drawn, the following recommendations were hereby recommended; the LET- takers should strengthen the desire to undergo a review towards better understanding of theories and concepts relating to General Education and Professional Education; the school must adopt a curriculum that is updated and significantly similar to the level of other top universities; and the repeaters must involve themselves in a comprehensive teachers review program and must have sufficient and adequate books and review materials ER -
