EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a live miniature wind farm as instructional material in teaching Grade 9 Physics particularly in Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy and determine its effectiveness. This was conducted at Marciana P. Catolos Memorial National High School in Tanay, Rizal during the School Year 2016-2017. The developed live miniature has different features which will help the students increase their desire to learn the topics Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy. The researchers used experimental and control group of respondents who answered the questionnaires composed of twenty (20) items to determine the increase in the level of theoretical acquisition of students as they were exposed to the developed live miniature wind farm in topic Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy. To test the level of theoretical acquisition of the control and experimental group as revealed by the pretest and posttest with respect to Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electrical energy, mean and standard deviation were used. To determine if there is a significant difference on the level of theoretical acquisition of the control and experimental group as revealed by the pretest and posttest with respect to Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution of Electrical Energy, dependent t-test was used. To determine if there is a significant difference on the level of theoretical acquisition of the control and experimental group as revealed by the posttest with respect to different topics, independent t-test was applied. It was found out that there is an increased in the level of theoretical knowledge acquisition of the students as they were exposed to the live miniature wind farm. Furthermore, there existed significant difference on the level of theoretical knowledge acquisition of the control group in the pretest and posttest on the topic Power Generation and Transmission while there is no significant difference in the topic Distribution of Electrical Energy. Also there existed significant difference on the level of theoretical knowledge acquisition of the experimental group in the pretest and posttest on the topic Power Generation while there is no significant difference in the lesson Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy. It was also found out that there existed significant difference on the level of theoretical knowledge acquisition of the control group and experimental group as revealed by the posttest result with respect to the topic Power Generation; while there existed no significant difference in lesson Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy. It was concluded that the live miniature wind farm as instructional material in teaching Grade 9 Physics particularly in the lesson Power Generation helped increase the level of theoretical knowledge acquisition of the students. While the use of the said instructional material in the lesson Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy is less effective. The study recommended the live miniature wind farm as an instructional material in teaching Grade 9 Physics may be used which will focus on Power Generation, improvement of designs and features of the live miniature wind farm may be considered and use of supporting materials such as brochures which includes terminologies related to the lesson shall be developed.
