The Project Development Report entitled Scrofa Boy's Hog Fattening Project. The "Scrofa" is derived from the scientific name of the Swine "Sus Scrofa Domesticus" a hoofed mammal of the family Suidaehe. The project was conducted in one cycle only. It was started on July 18, 2017 and was terminated on December 07, 2017
It was managed by the proponents namely Aljier L. Lelis, Jerome B. Daganio, Robert V. Pascual, and Zelzo M. Dela Cruz. It was implemented at Sitio Hamyuan, San Jose Rodriguez, Rizal. The site had an existing pigpen, electricity, and water supply. The area of the pen was six point ninety square meter (6.90m²) with dimensions of two point forty nine meters by two point seventy seven meters (2.49m) x (2.77m). The space requirement of point eighty five square meters (0.85m²) per head for hog made the area suited for the project
Supplies like feeds and vitamins, cleaning materials such as dustpan, broomstick, chlorine, detergents and other materials used for the implementation of the project were canvassed and purchased at Montalban Poultry Supply and Rodriguez Public Market. A week before transferring the stocks to the pen the proponents did the cleaning and disinfection of the pigpen.
