The Project Development Report was entitled La' FeMeGo Hog Finishing Project. It was managed by the proponents, Joel Marius B. Gonzaga, Jennifer G Ferrer, Cristolle A. Lachica and Dory H. Melmida. The project was financed by the parents of the proponents.
The project was conducted at 9036 Sitio Bangkal Brgy. San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal. Some factors were considered such as existence of pigpen with the total area of 7.88 m², adequate source of water and presence of drainage canal.
On July 10, 2015 the proponents purchased the stocks in a backyard farm at the vicinity of Sitio Upper Bigte Norzagaray, Bulacan. The stock purchased was the crossbreed of Duroc and Landrace, which were five (5) female and three (3) male with a total of eight (😎 heads. The other supplies and materials were purchased in poultry stores, hardware and wet market at the vicinity of Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez Rizal.
Feeding management was done by the proponents in restricted feeding while shifting the feeds gradually using pellet commercial feeds. During its growing stage the proponents used three types of commercial pellet type of feeds such as pre starter, starter and grower thrice (3) a day in the early morning (6:00 AM), in the afternoon (12:00 PM) and in the evening (6:00 PM).
The drinking water was coming from a deep well. One nipple drinker and a waterer was provided by the proponents for the hogs. The 40 grams detergent powder was mixed in one (1) pail of water used in cleaning and bathing of stocks.
