Online resources: Dissertation note: UGTHESIS Bachelor of Science in Community Development University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal Summary: This study aimed to determine the level of awareness on disaster risk reduction management programs in Sitio Maislap San Isidro Rodriguez, Rizal. The subject of the study is 97 residents of the Sitio which consists of approximately 500 families where each respondent represents one household. The selected families were composed of several indigenous groups living in the area including the Aetas and Muslims from Mindanao. To achieve the objectives of the study the researchers used the descriptive research design which involves recording, analysis, and interpretation of the present nature, composition or processes of phenomena. To obtain the necessary information needed in the study the researchers used the systematic sampling design which every Sth name in a list were selected and included in the sample. From the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn that in terms of profile, most of the respondents are ages 18 - 21 years old, most of them are female, most of them are elementary undergraduates and residing for 6 years and below. In terms on the level of awareness of residents on disaster risk reduction management programs, it was verbally interpreted as aware. Therefore, there is no significant difference in terms of profile with regards to the level of awareness of the respondents. Based on the findings and conclusions, the following recommendations were given as to the residents of the community to strengthen the awareness and preparedness on the extent of disaster as well as to coordinate with local leaders in organizing and mobilizing mitigation for disaster and establish communication linkages between other residents.
