Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study generally aimed to design and develop a Library statistical report generator through scanning Student ID barcode which will generate statistical report easily, and eliminate manual counting of the number of users entering on the library on a specific period of time. It also aims to determine the level of acceptability to users through Applicability, Functionality, Reliability, Maintainability and Usability. During the Academic year 2018-2019. This study will benefit the library users such as students, professors in terms not writing names and date on logbook but on just scanning their ID's and also benefited Library staff to generate the statistical report instantly. The researchers used the descriptive, evaluative, and developmental research design because the study was based on developing a system that will lessen the dilemmas of manual counting. In designing the Library statistical report generator through scanning Student ID barcode, the researchers considered the Ac Supply, Voltage rectifier, Barcode scanner, Monitor/screen, printer and ID barcode. The researcher-made questionnaire-checklist will be used to determine its acceptability to the users. After the evaluation of the benefactors of this study, it turned out that the device was Very much accepted according to the respondents such as Students, Experts/Librarians. In terms of Applicability by garnering an average weighted mean of 4.85, Functionality with 4.80, Maintainability with 4.90, While in terms of Reliability, the system device garnered an average weighted mean of 4.78 and Lastly, In terms of Usability with 4.96 all are verbally interpreted as "Very much acceptable". And has performed accurately by garnering a maximum amount of time of 2 seconds when scanning the barcode. And efficiently in terms of its database capacity as it can hold a large amount of data on a day. The paper concluded that the System is applicable to be used in our library to provide a precise statistical report that counts the number of students entering on the library on a specific period of time, manually with the use of Logbook as it is highly accepted by the library users that serves as the respondents such as students, Librarians and professors. And also concluded that the system generates statistical report accurately in terms of time as the system responded to the user in a short period of time. And efficiently in terms of its database capacity. And as a recommendations for further studies, The College of engineering professors may continue to guide the engineering student's explore more on similar research and innovation. Future research may validate the effectiveness of the system/device and propose possible modification when necessary. Implement the system to the University Library of University of Rizal System-Morong Campus.
