Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted during the school year 2016-2017 to determine the employability of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics graduates. The subjects of the study were twenty-two (22) graduates of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from 2011 to 2015 who were residing in the province of Rizal. The twenty-two (22) respondents were selected using the purposive sampling. The study used the descriptive method of research utilizing the modified questionnaire-checklist to gather information about the employability of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics graduates. To determine the profile of the respondents, frequency and percentage distribution was applied. To determine the status of employability of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics graduates with respect to employment status, nature of employment, working hours, mode of payment, monthly income, mode of entry, job waiting time and length , principal component analysis was utilized. The summary of findings based on the results that in terms of employment status, most of the respondents were employed with the highest frequency of 19 and gathered 86.36 percent; in terms of nature of employment, majority of the respondents were regular or permanent with the highest percentage of 63.64 and frequency of 14; in terms of working hours, 86.36 percent of the respondents worked 8 hours above per day with the highest frequency of 19; in terms of mode of payment, majority of the respondents have other types of payment with the highest frequency of 12 and percentage of 54.55; in terms of monthly, most of the respondents earned at least P10000 with the frequency of 11 and percentage of 50; in terms of job waiting time, 95.45 percent of the respondents' job waiting time was below 5 months with the frequency of 21 and percentage of 95.45; in terms of length of service, majority of the respondents do not face an end of contract with the frequency of 19 and percentage of 86.36. The first component is strongly correlated with two of the original variables: Nature of Employment and Monthly income; the second principal component is strongly correlated with two of the original values: mode of payment and monthly income; the third principal component increases and is strongly correlated with only one original values: Mode of Payment; and in terms of employability. 3 out of 22 respondents were Very Unemployable, 2 were Fairly Employable, Employable were 6 and 11 respondents were Highly Employable. The conclusions based on the summary of findings stated that a sharp drop from one eigenvalue to the next may serve as another indicator of how many eigenvalues to consider. The first three principal components explain 93% or the variation. This is an acceptably large percentage: the first principal component increases with increasing nature of employment and monthly income scores. This suggest that these two criteria vary together, if one increases, then the other tends to increase as well. This component can be viewed as a measure of quality in nature of employment and monthly income. Furthermore, the first principal component correlates most strongly income. In, fact based on the correlation of 0.593 the principal components is primarily a measure of the income. It would follow that jobs with high values would tend to have higher monthly income available. Whereas jobs with small values would very low monthly income available; the second principal components increases with mode of payment and monthly income, but decreasing as well with mode of payment. This suggests how poor the monthly payment of the respondents correlates to the monthly income; the third principal component can be viewed measure of how poor the mode of payment of monthly income; and the data indicated that the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics graduates were highly enjoyable which means having a job is not necessary according to their finish degree but to their monthly income larger than P10000, regular or permanent, working above 8 hours, easily get hired, not contractual and most of all, employed. The summary of findings based on the summary of findings and conclusions, the following recommendations were formulated: the University may continue giving opportunities to the students to be exposed in different activities that will easily help much in the development of their total personality, and their way of dealing in such circumstances that will develop their self-confidence and knowledge; strengthen the applied mathematics course to encourage graduates in different sciences to be more productive individuals; Other studies may be conducted related to the research.
