Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: HIV stands for (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). It is the virus that can lead to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, or AIDS, if not treated. Unlike some other viruses, the human body can't get rid of HIV completely, even with treatment. So once you get HIV, you have it for life. This study entitled Estimating the Rate of Human Immune Virus Cases using Forecasting Model was conducted during the academic year of 2016-2017. The main purpose of this study was to estimate the rate increase or decrease of HIV Cases on Northern half of Rizal Province. The researchers used a mathematical model using the principle of forecasting linear trend model. To balance off the research, the researchers discussed with their adviser about the model. The actual data was substituted with the derived model and was found out that the proposed mathematical model can estimate rate of increase of HIV cases in Northern half of Rizal Province. This was made possible with the use of Forecasting Linear Trend Model. Based on the findings, the study concluded that the rate of increase of male patient most affects the rate of increase of HIV Disease in Northern half of Rizal Province. By the virtue of the preceding summary of findings and conclusions, further study can be conducted using Forecasting Linear Trend Model in other situation. The government should be aware of the rapid increase of HIV Cases in Northern half of Rizal Province.
