Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major Computer Science University of Rizal System-Morong. 2008 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study determines the developed animation program in teaching elementary mathematics to overcome students' anxiety. A questionnaire checklist is adopted and administrated to gather data and other information needed for the study. The study was conducted in computer laboratory located at university of rizal system, morong, rizal. The respondents are the 14 pupils of grade IV, university of rizal system laboratory during the school year 2008-2009. In order to obtain the data needed in the study, the following procedural steps were considered: identifying the problem and submit the title of the problem to their professor for approval; extensive reading of materials; development of the questionnaire checklist among the grade IV pupils of university of rizal system laboratory upon approval of concerned authorities; interpreting and summarizing the gathered data to arrive at certain conclusions and appropriate recommendations, thus making the researchers to really themselves for final oral defense. The study used the appropriate statistical treatment in order to obtain accurate responses to the questions asked in the specific problems given in chapter 1, such as frequency, percentage and rank distribution weighted mean and one way analysis of variance (anova). The findings revealed that the developed system is much accepted of the respondents in terms of accuracy, applicability, user-friendliness, workability, completeness, portability and modifiability. This study found out that the developed system is user friendly with that the respondents easily understood the system. It also found out that the developed system is accurate because it gives desired output and it meets the user's needs. Considering the findings and conclusions, it is recommended should use the developed system in teaching elementary mathematics and should support the computer-based instruction to improve the learning ability of the students.
