Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Content Courses) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the Grammatical Skills of the Grade VI pupils in Baras Elementary School, Baras, Rizal during the school year 2013-2014. Gender, Scholastic Rating in English V. parents edcuational attainment were considered as the variable to describe the respondents of the study. The study used the descriptive method of research utilizing evaluate design. Modifies test-questionnaire served as the tool to gather the needed data. Frequency and Percentage distribution were used to establish the profile of the grade VI pupils while mean and standard deviation were applied to determine the level of grammatical skills of the grade VI pupils in subject-verb agreement and correct usage. To divulge the significant difference between the grammatical skills and the profile, one-way analysis of variants (ANOVA) was used. Findings revealed that most of the respondents belong to families who barely have reached high school level. The grade VI pupils belong to the middle range the level of grammatical skills, therefore, it is recommended to encourage students to use English consistently to enable them improve their oral communication skills, to expose students on exercise dealing with the different rules of subject categories to invite parents for a forum to help their children engage their study habit in English, the principal can plan out activities for english teachers to enhance their teaching competencies and to conduct a similar study involving pupils in the public schools.
