Thesis Bachelor of Technology in major in Electronics Technology University of Rizal System-Morong/ 2018
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The researchers conducted the study to develop a program-based security barrier and queuing system. This system was developed to secure premises with queuing management. It can help students and industry supervisors who have problem in queues and those who want to conduct strict entrance policy. This study was conducted at University of Rizal System Morong Campus by the College of Industrial technology students major in electronics technology during the school year 2017-2018. The research sought to design and construct a program-based security barrier and queuing system. It aims to test the performance of the project in terms of its accuracy and speed. The research aimed to test the level of acceptability of the program -based security barrier and queuing system in terms of workability, reliability, modifiability and safety and maintenance based on the remarks of the respondents consisting of students and experts who are capable to test this project. The researchers analyzed and interpreted the data based on the collected information. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, mean and weighted mean. Based on the summary of findings the performance of the program-based security barrier and queuing system has been measured in terms of accuracy and speed as excellent. The acceptability of the developed project has been evaluated by the two groups of respondents as very much accepted in terms of workability, reliability, modifiability and safety and maintenance. Hence, the developed device can be used as it is according to what is supposed to perform and satisfies the users need in establishing security mean and queuing mechanisms. Also, the following recommendation fort he developed program-based security barrier and queuing system are based on the findings and conclusions; improve the design and structure of the project. Modify the program based on the users needs during definite use; push button is recommended to be installed in the project for easy access in terms of printing the queue number in which can be combined for networking. The device must be integrated in terms of reading the unique characters of the radio frequency identification card (RFID) so that it can automatically save the unique characters assigned individually without operating the admin separately. A database must be included in order to record the time in and out of the end-users for monitoring. The secondary key of the search option must be set to student name.
