Summary: Executive Summary: Gawad Kalinga is a low-cost housing project situated at Sitio Calumpang Barangay San Jose, Baras, Rizal. The housing project is not fully developed; the roads are still made up of earth materials and no water supply system yet. This study intends to develop and design a water supply and distribution system that will provide a permanent source of water for the residents of Sitio Calumpang, Brgy. San Jose,Baras, Rizal. The Researchers designed a piping layout and a longitudinal cylindrical tank that will accommodate the water demand of the community. The system was analyzed using gravity distribution. In designing the pipelines, actual rates in points of discharge and pipes and the head losses were considered. The findings of the study revealed that the maximum water demand of the community per day was 24.57 m3 and the capacity of the designed water tank is 25.0346 m3. The tank used a 7.5 HP motor pump to drive water from the ground water table to the tank. The researchers were able to develop and design permanent water supply and distribution system and found out that the proposed design is economical and suitable compared to the existing one and acceptable as perceived by the respondents. It is therefore recommended that the community may implement the study for their convenience and further study for the potability of water may be conducted.
