Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to know the behavior and motivational factors that influence heavy metal band members. The peer, community, personal, financial and social aspect of heavy metal band members were considered regarding the extent of perception of the respondents. The data that were gathered were tabulated and interpreted. Frequency and percentage were the statistical treatments used to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, educational attainment, monthly income/income of members and position as band members. Weighted mean was used. To determine the extent of behavior and motivational factors that influence heavy metal band members with respect to community, personal, financial and social weighted mean was used. T-test was used to determine the significant difference on the extent of behavior and motivational factors that influence heavy metal band members with respect to the different aspects in terms of the respondents profile. Majority of the respondents are male, belong to the age bracket 19-22 years old, have a family monthly income of 7,000-10,000 and 3,000, most of them are enrolled in college and most of them are vocalist. Peer and community sometimes influenced the behavior of heavy metal band members. On the other hand, the behavior of heavy metal band members are always influenced by personal factors, often influenced by social and sometimes by financial factors, thus, the behavior of heavy metal band members has no relation with their motivational factors. On the basis on the foregoing findings and conclusions, the researchers offer the following recommendations; community may provide an activity were heavy metal band members may participate actively; the school may encourage potential students to musical performance; parallel study may be conducted considering other variables.
