Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop a Multi-Purpose Instructional Board. Specifically, this study attempted to design and construct Multi-Purpose Instructional Board, perform try-out and revision and evaluate the acceptability of Multi-Purpose Instructional Board in terms of Usefulness, durability, functionality of parts, safety and maintenance and quality and design. Moreover, this research also studied the significant difference between the evaluation made by the experts and end-users in terms of the given criteria on the questionnaire, and to develop instructional manual intended for this project. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System Morong Campus during AY 2017-2018. The evaluators of the project consisted of two group. They were the civil technology and drafting technology groups with students and experts in the field. The multipurpose instructional board was evaluated by ten (10) civil technology students and ten (10) drafting technology students and five (5) experts in the field in terms of usefulness, durability, functionality of the parts, safety and maintenance and quality and design. Try-out and revisions were also done by the researchers during the construction period of the Multi-Purpose Instructional Board. They found out that there is a problem in terms of accuracy of the measurement. After the defect was determined, as well as the problem encountered during testing period, revision was done by the researchers to revise the defective part of the instructional board. The significant difference between the evaluation made by the Civil and Drafting Technology group was determined to measure the acceptability of the Multi-Purpose Instructional Board. In terms of Usefulness, the Multi-Purpose Instructional board got the desire and accurate result with a total average weighted mean of 4.66 and verbally interpreted as "Extremely Useful" by Civil Technology and 4.75 weighted mean by the Drafting technology group verbally interpreted as "Extremely Useful". In terms of Durability, the Multi-Purpose Instructional Board got the desire and accurate result with a total weighted mean of 4.61 by Civil Technology group and 4.84 weighted mean by the Drafting Technology group and verbally interpreted as Extremely Durable. In terms of Functionality of Parts, the Multi-Purpose Instructional Board got the desire and accurate result with a total weighted mean of 4.80 by the Civil Technology group and 4.71 by the evaluation made by the Drafting Technology group and verbally interpreted as outstanding. In terms of Safety and Maintenance, the Multi-Purpose Instructional got the desire and accurate result with a total weighted mean of 4.68 by the civil technology group and 4.64 made by the Drafting Technology group and verbally interpreted as Extremely Safe and Easy. In terms of Quality and Design, the Multi-Purpose Instructional Board got the desire and accurate result with a total weighted mean of 4.68 by the Civil Technology group and 4.75 made by the Drafting Technology group and verbally interpreted as Excellent. There is significant difference between the evaluation made by the experts and end-users in terms durability, criteria on the evaluation made by the group of respondents. Based from the findings, it was concluded, that there significant difference between the evaluation made by the Civil Technology and Drafting Technology group in terms of usefulness, functionally of the parts, safety and maintenance, and quality and design on the evaluation made by the group of respondents. However, in terms of durability the Drafting Technology group evaluation were higher than the evaluation made by the Civil Technology group.
