Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted to develop a computer-aided instructional material in teaching History of Mathematics. It was conducted during the academic Year 2015-2016 at the University of Rizal System, Morong Rizal. The subject of the study were the twenty nine (29) students of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics and ten (10) professors teaching Mathematics. This study used a descriptive method of research, utilizing developmental and evaluative. It also utilized a questionnaire checklist to determine the acceptability of the material with the assessment of the respondents. The mean and independent t-test were the statistical tools used to answer the research problems. The study revealed that the developed CAIM as evaluated by the two (2) groups of respondents in terms of different variables was "Very Much Accepted." Findings showed that the developed Computer-Aided Instructional Material in Teaching History of Mathematics was very much accepted by the professors and students and their perception proved that there was no significant difference on the level of acceptability in terms of objectives, content, language and style, presentation and organization and accuracy. From the summary of findings, the study concluded that the developed computer-aided instructional material possessed the characteristics of a good instructional material. In the light of findings and conclusion drawn, the study recommended: that the developed Computer-Aided Instructional Material may be utilized in teaching History of Mathematics. The developed Computer-Aided Instructional Material may be the subjected to further evaluation to test its effectiveness. Parallel study may be conducted considering other variables like portability, modifiability and user-friendliness.
