EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study is entitled "Integrity and Despair of Senior Citizens in Selected Towns of Rizal". The researchers conducted the study with the purpose of determining the integrity and Despair of selected Senior Citizens. There were five (5) selected towns in Rizal such as Antipolo, Teresa, Pililia, Tanay and Binangonan. This study made use of case study type of descriptive qualitative method of research. It utilized a researcher-made structured interview and did not involve measurement or statistic. It is a method of inquiry employed in many different academic disciplines traditionally in social sciences. The discussion showed that Senior Citizens are very positive, optimistic, hopeful and happy with their perceptions of integrity. Also, physical, social, family and spiritual aspect are the factors that lead the elders into integrity. However only the Family aspect leads to despair. As a general recommendation, the government should strengthen or maintain their existing policies and programs that cater or address the needs of Senior Citizens while Municipalities should maintain the plans and projects to help the senior citizens in providing their necessities and improving their sense of self-worth. In addition, to conduct a study about the integrity and Despair of Senior Citizens, researchers can make this study into quantitative research and can conduct similar study to validate.
