Dissertation note: Thesis BSF University of Rizal System. Cardona 2016 Summary: This study focused on determining the effect of fortification of commercial feed with different levels of papain on the growth performance of tilapia fingerlings. Three treatment were utilized in the study. In treatment I, fingerling were fed with commercial feed without fortification. In treatment II and III, fingerlings were fed with commercial feed with added papaya extract at 2% and 4% respectively. In terms of weight and length gain, result showed significant difference on growth response of fingerlings containing papaya extract against control. There was no significant difference on all treatment in terms of survival rate. Consequently, the feed conversion ratio attained by commercial feed fortified with 4% papaya resulted as significantly more efficient as commercial feed alone.
