Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electronics Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: DEVELOPMENT OF MULTI-FEATURED SOLAR POWERED ELECTRONICS SECURITY AND NIGHT LIGHT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a Multi-Featured Solar Powered Electronic Security and Night Light that can be used as a device or gadget. Specifically, it aimed to design and construct the Developed Multi-Featured Solar Powered Electronic Security and Night Light out of locally available materials, perform try-out and revision of the device, evaluate the level of acceptability of the device in terms of design, functionality, safety and maintenance and usefulness and determine the significant difference of the evaluation made by the experts and end-users. The study utilized the developmental and descriptive methods of research and utilized a research instrument or evaluation sheet which determines the level of acceptability of the Developed Multi-Featured Solar Powered Electronic Security and Night Light. The experts in Electronics and Electrical Technology in the College of Industrial Technology validated the research instrument. The respondents provided information crucial to the completion of this study. The results were tallied and computed for analysis. There were two groups of respondents who tested the acceptability, knowledge, skills and understanding on electronics principles and its operations. The other twenty (20) were the end-users who will use the Developed Multi-Featured Solar Powered Electronic Security and Night Light. The statistical treatment used was weighted mean and independent t-test. The weighted mean was used to determine the level of acceptability of the device, while the independent t-test was used to determine the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users on the acceptability of the developed multi-featured solar powered electronic security and night light. The Developed Multi-Featured Solar Powered Electronic Security and Night Light was constructed out of locally and available materials. On the performance of the device, the project is "Outstanding" in intensity of alarm, and as the charge of the battery deceases, the luminance level of the lamp turns into a dim light. Likewise, the sensitivity of the Motion Sensor depends on the distance of the subject from the device and it satisfies the requirements of the end-users. Regarding the evaluation on the effectiveness and level of acceptability of the completed device in terms of design, as evaluated by experts and end-users it is extremely accepted having an average weighted mean of 4.5 and 4.5 respectively. As to the functionality, as evaluated by experts and end-users it is extremely accepted having an average weighted mean 4.74 and 4,72 respectively. Likewise, in terms of safety and maintenance, the device is extremely accepted with a weighted mean of 4.66 from the experts and 4.82 fro, end-users. Moreover, in terms of usefulness, it gained a weighted mean of 4.76 from the experts and 4.7 from end-users and verbally interpreted as extremely accepted. Based on the summary of findings, the study concluded that the difference on the acceptability of Developed Multi-Featured Solar Powered Electronic Security and Nigh Light was not found significant by the respondents in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance as perceived by respondents. Therefore, the following recommendations were given that further study should be made in order to improve the appearance of the device. Also, an in=depth study should be conducted on the development of the device to improvement of its particularly in terms of security.
