Dissertation note: Thesis BSBA-FM University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2017 Summary: This study primarily aimed to determine the Factors that Influence the Budget Practices of Working Students in University of Rizal System in the First District of Rizal School Year 2015-2016. The researchers used the descriptive research, which is the most appropriate in determining the Factors that Influence the Budget Practices of Working Students in University of Rizal System in the First District of Rizal. Purposive sampling was used in the study wherein it is a form of non-probability sampling in which decisions concerning the individuals to be included in the sample taken, based upon a variety of criteria which may include specialist knowledge of the research issue, or capacity and willingness to participate in the research. The questionnaire checklist was the instrument used in collecting the necessary data from 93 students from four (4) campuses of University of Rizal System namely; Angono, Binangonan, Cainta and Taytay. Such data were computed, tailed, tabulated, analyzed, interpreted using the frequency, percentage and rank distribution for determining the respondents' profile, weighted average mean for determining the respondents' perception and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for determining the significant difference on the Factors that Influence the Budget Practices of Working Student in University of Rizal System in the First District of Rizal when grouped according to their personal profile. Greater majority of the respondents are teenagers that are below 19 Years old, classified mostly as regular students which is dominated by single females who work as fast food chain crew and works as a part-timer. Utmost of the respondents earned their monthly income at below ₱3,000.00 with a majority of them only had their father are employed, most of them has 4 siblings and also they are in the 2nd in birth order in the family and lastly, most of the respondents work while studying because of insufficient income of the family. With respect to the respondents' perception on the Factors that Influence the Budget Practices of Working Students, it can be bring together that the factors sometimes influence the budget practices of working students namely; spending habits, tech savvy and income structure. While the use of credit and debt (or not use) rarely influences the budget practices of working students. However, most of them are frequently influence by the personality factor. As a whole, the respondents perceived that all the factors sometimes influence their budget practices. In general, there is a significant difference on the respondents' perception on income structure factors that influence their budget practices in terms of student classification, monthly income and number of siblings. Moreover, the personality and tech savvy in terms of sex and civil status has significant difference. The researchers recommend that the working students must be vigilant when it comes to buying products/services and as early as a student is working, they must handle money wisely. Also, they should buy products knowledgably then minimize spending for hang-outs. As much as possible buy a gadget that will help in studying, choose quality over price in addition, use low consumable electricity gadget to lessen expenses. They have to learn investing in any profitable activities to have an extra income as well as lessening the use of credits/debt. Lastly, continue the good management with regards to the factors that influence their budget practices.
