Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aims to determine the job placement and career development of the Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling Graduates School year 2012-2015 of University of Rizal System. The respondents of the study were the Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling graduates during the School year 2012-2015 who are described in terms of sex, age, year graduated, highest educational attainment, present job, monthly income, nature of appointment and rank or position. It is also included their type of job placement with respect to job waiting, type of job and job opportunities. And career development with respect to post graduate studies, attendance to seminars or trainings and practical experiences. The study used the descriptive research using questionnaire checklist as the main tool in gathering the needed data. The frequency and percentage distribution used in determining the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, year graduated, highest educational attainment, present job, monthly income, nature of appointment and rank or position. In terms of career development of the respondents with respect to post graduate studies, attendance to seminars or trainings, and practical experiences, frequency and percentage distribution were used. To find out the significant difference on the type of job placement and career development with respect to different aspects in terms of profile, chi-square was used. To find out the significant relationship between job placement and career development with respect to the given aspect, Pearson-r was used. Most of the graduates of Bachelor of Science and Guidance and Counseling are female, many of them belong to the age bracket 22-23 years old and graduated in year 2011-2012. Majority of them did not take post graduate studies, but 76 out of 105 are employed or working as human resources, teacher, office staff and others. Most of them have the monthly income of 1,000-10,000 and many are regular on their job and positioned as staff. The graduates with practical experience wait for a job in short period of time. And those graduates have a job but it's not related to their finished course, still got a job for they have practical experience. With help of the summary of findings and conclusions, the following are hereby recommended the school may continue to intensify the job fair program and continue tracing of the College of Science Graduates. Regular meeting of the graduates be scheduled so as to update the University with the development of the employment, career status and productivity of the graduates students. Parallel study maybe conducted using other variables.
