This research focused on using chicken manure tea (CMT) as alternative liquid nutrient solution to Lactuca sativa L. var Waldmann's Green. Lettuce grown in two hydroponics systems: the aggregate culture and the nutrient film technique (NFT) to evaluate the effects of chicken manure tea as a nutrient formulation versus an inorganic nutrient solution. Two kinds of nutrient solutions derived from composted chicken manure namely: fortified chicken manure tea (FCMT) and pure chicken manure tea (PCMT) were compared to an inorganic nutrient solution (INS). Split-plot design with three replications was followed. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System Main in Tanay, Rizal from December 29, 2005 to February 12, 2006.
