This study aimed to determine the influence of the amount of N fertilizer on the growth, yield and nitrogen content of rice varieties KD18 abd LV18. Specifically, it determined the effect of varying levels of N fertilizer on the growth, yield perforance and nitrogen content in leaves, stalk and grains of those two rice varieties at vegetative, reproductive and maturity stages. The study was conducted from July 27 to November 3, 2008 at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen City, Vietnam. The experiment method was used in this study was the split-plot design with 4x2 factor. To analyze the result of the study, the data collected were subjected to Analysis of Variance and Duncan Multiple Range Test.
