520 _aEXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled utilization of alcohol breath analyzer as vehicle ignition switch with tracking system aimed to develop and construct a device that can be used by public utility vehicle or car owners. Specifically, it sought to design and construct the Vehicle Ignition Switch with Tracking System Utilizing Breath Analyzer, performed try-out and revision, evaluated the acceptability of the project in terms of usefulness, functionality, design, safety and maintenance, and tested the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end users in terms of the mentioned variables and determined the level of performance of the developed device in terms of parameters on time duration and time sending information using Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and Global Positioning System (GPS) and to developed an operating manual. The success of Vehicle ignition switch with tracking system utilizing of alcohol breath analyzer was design and constructed out of locally available materials. The research output was tried-out and defects were found during testing period and followed by revision of the defects found. The device attained its objectives. The researchers utilized a research instrument or evaluation sheet to determine the acceptability of Utilization of Alcohol Breath Analyzer as Vehicle Ignition Switch with Tracking System. The experts in the Electronics Technology of Industrial Technology validated the research instrument. The respondents provided pertinent information crucial to the completion of this study. The results were tallied and computed for analysis. There were two groups of respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. The first group was five (5) experts who have knowledge, skills and understanding on Electronics Operation. The other group was fifteen (15) end users, who used the Utilization of Alcohol Breath Analyzer as Vehicle Ignition Switch with Tracking System. The T-test was used to test if there is significant difference on the perception of the end-users and experts and found to be not significant. In general, the acceptability of the project as evaluated by the experts and end-users obtained a verbal interpretation of extremely acceptable for different variable functionality, usefulness, design and safety and maintenance having a general average weighted mean of 4.71 and 4.57, respectively. Based on the level of performance the study used the parameter of time duration of the alcohol defector and time in sending information in Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and the Global Positioning System (GPS) that determined the level of performance of the system. The system found out and obtained a verbal interpretation as Very Fast on time duration on defecting alcohol and likewise for time in sending information was also very fast. An operating manual was prepared and developed consists of a difference component parts such as; specifications, safety precautions and steps on how to operate the device which are very useful to the end-users.
