Thesis

This study primarily aimed to assess the extent of employee's recruitment strategies of registered resorts in Tanay, Rizal. The respondents of the study were the three (3) registered resorts in which three (3) managers and thirty one (31) employees were used as respondents. The descriptive method of research was used for the appropriateness of the present research work. The main instrument used by the researchers to gather the necessary data was the questionnaire-checklist, consisted of two parts. Part I dealt with the profile of the resorts which includes the initial capital, years in business operation, type of business ownership number of employees and average number of clients per month. Part II dealt with the recruitment strategies of registered resorts in Tanay, Rizal with respect to campus recruitment, referral system, advertising, recruitment agencies and using-internet The data gathered were treated statistically with the use of frequency, percentage and rank distribution, weighted mean, T-Test. The findings of the study revealed with respect to profile of the registered resorts, it was found out that in terms of initial capital, the (3) three resorts starts in the amount of Php 500,000 to Php 50,000,000. In terms of years in business operation, 2 out of the 3 resorts is only 3 years in business operation while 1 out of the 3 resorts is now 15 years in business operation. In terms of type of business ownership, the 3 resorts have the same type of business ownership which is sole proprietorship, In terms of number of employees, the number of employees of the 3 resorts starts from 6 to 15 employees. In terms of average number of clients per month, the (3) three resorts have 50 to 200 clients. Relative to the assessment of the employee's recruitment strategies of registered resorts in general composite, using-internet was often implemented while campus recruitment was never implemented. The study revealed that there was no significant difference on the employee's recruitment strategies in registered resorts in Tanay, Rizal in terms of referral system, advertising, recruitment agencies and using-internet. The computed p-value is greater than 0.05 on the referral system, advertising. Recruitment agencies and using-internet, hence the null hypothesis was failed to reject. Based on the findings of the study, the researchers concluded that: Majority of the registered resorts were operating for a long time from 3 to 15 years in business operation and with an initial capital of Php 500,000.00 to Php 50,000,000.00, majority of the registered resorts are sole proprietorship type of business organization and with sufficient number of employees enough to handle their average number of clients. Majority of the respondents from manager and employees assessed that referral system and using-internet was often implemented by the registered resorts while the study revealed that campus recruitment was never implemented or use by the registered resorts. There was no significant difference on the employee's recruitment strategies of Registered Resorts with respect to referral system, advertising, recruitment agencies and using-internet.
