This study aimed to determine the Difficulties Encountered by the Selected Freshman Education Students of the University of Rizal System. Rodriguez in Simplifying Fraction, conducted during the 2nd semester, school year 2009-2010. The respondents involved were the 90 first year education students who were randomly selected as respondents of the study from the total population of 156. The descriptive method of research was utilized in this study, with the questionnaire checklist as the main instrument utilized to gather appropriate data.
